London, Here we go !!
AFTERNOON TEA at BLAKES HOTEL
The warm scones with fresh strawberries & clotted cream were such a treat!
This petite cafe at London Lennox Garden neighborhood
has the best oven fresh croissants, raisin scones and more.....
This afternoon I was checking out my friend's newly bought apartment.
This parisian cafe - Fait Maison means ( Home-made ) is only a 3min walk from her place.
A refreshing home cooking lunch is what I need after stuffing myself for the past few days.
London were never my favorite city before. The weather was miserable and there were never blue skies. I must say that I was impressed to see how different it is now than ten years ago.
The weather this time was too good to believe that we are actually in London.
The restaurants that Mrs Beast & I went were totally divine & delicious. In particular, La Petite Maison (a parisian home cooking style bistro) is exceptionally good even though the seatings are pretty closed to other tables. The cooking style there is simple & authentic with no extra garnish. They brought the best taste out of each ingredients. We both enjoyed a lot!
So much better the pretentious, long hours, overrated blood sucking Michelin Stars restaurants in Paris.

SLEEPING BETTER & WAKING UP FEELING SHARP
Having a quality sleep and waking up feeling sharp is a luxury for me. I haven't had that feeling for quite a long time already. I truly want to get this feeling back. So I might consider this treatment as an option.

THE HOUSE OF BEAST WEBSITE
The HOB website has finally been launched today! Most of my friends know that I'm an interior designer. However, I bet most of them didn't know my works. For those who don't really know what I do for a living, now it's time to explore the BEAST!

TRUE LUXURY - TASTE, SPACE, TIME
Luxury is not about how much money you can spend or able to own the world class luxurious gadgets. True luxury is about experiencing, understanding and appreciating. Money can buy taste but it's not necessarily mean that you have good taste.
As an interior designer, I got chances to visit homes throughout the most prestigious location in Hong Kong. I must say some of the places are really stunting by their views and design. However, most of them do not have a soul. In order to enjoy luxury, you'll need mentality, discipline and a vision of your lifestyle. Sounds hard to achieve but it's possible.
When I first saw this breath taking villa in Architectural Digest, I was captured by the streamline and the sophistication of the outlook. I was even more touched when I start reading the article. I couldn't believe that this house is actually located in Hong Kong and it's designed by a world famous Seattle based architect firm Olson Kundig Architect. Almost all the architectural material were custom fabricated and shipped from Seattle. This project took them six years to complete and I think it's all worth the wait for an art being born.

A GIFT FROM BRUNO MOINARD
Bruno Moinard...Artist of luxurious space.
The Architect of CARTIER SHOPS, CHATEAU LATOUR and the Painter
My dear friend BRUNO has his new book published and launch recently. I'm so honored to receive a signed copy from him when Mrs. BEAST & I were meeting up with him in Shanghai last month. Surprisingly, this book is not the type of design book which showcase his life time works. Instead, this book is all about his favorite drawings that he did when traveling all over the world for works and vacations.
